Writing For Young Adults

Sunday, November 3, 2019

3:00PM - 6:00PM

The market for young adult literature is bigger than ever before, with audiences of all ages enjoying texts that are about and for teens. This three-hour seminar, led by novelist Natalie Lund, will focus on the craft elements that engage teenage readers--point of view, plot, world-building, character, and relationships. There will be time for idea generation, writing, and feedback, so participants are encouraged to bring works-in-progress as well as a copy of their favorite YA book. The class will close with a mini-lesson on possible paths to publication.
